Our Philosophy
- We take an individualised approach to care. From social spaces to quiet zones, indoor spaces to outside areas, we have a range of environments to cater to different dog personalities. Whether you have a bouncy young pup or older companion, a playful socialite or quiet recluse, your dog will be given the environment it needs to feel happy, safe and secure.
- Our staff aren’t simply dogsitters, they’re trained experts at observing and understanding canine behaviour. Through a mix of qualifications and innate skill, our team constantly monitors every dog in our care. From obvious signals (like wagging tails) to subtle nuances (like lip licking) we read your dog’s body language so we can address its needs over the course of the day.
- As well as caring for your dog’s wellbeing, we help to strengthen the bond between you, your family and your dog. From our positive behavioural guidance, to keeping you updated with our Pet Parents Facebook page, and providing a personalised debrief of your dog’s stay, we keep you closely connected and help you relate to your dog on an even deeper level.
- Just like people, dogs get bored too. That’s why we’ve created a range of environments at Everything Dog. Our facilities include a large outdoor area complete with a sensory garden, variety of surfaces and obstacles for mental and physical agility. From play spaces to toys and appropriate companionship, we provide an enriched experience that’s great for dogs (and fun for staff too).

Safe and welcoming, indoors and out
Chain link fences are out, natural materials are in. At Everything Dog we’ve created an inviting, secure environment that appeals to dogs and humans alike – including Christchurch’s largest, sensory-enriched outdoor spaces.
Room to Roam
One of our key points of difference at Everything Dog is our variety of indoor and outdoor enrichment zones. Dogs of all types love to spend time in these special areas, exploring the range of textures, sights, smells and sounds around them. A sensory garden, natural features and physical obstacles provide ample stimulation and help to sharpen dogs’ mental and physical agility. Every dog, whatever care category they’re in, will get to spend time in one or more enrichment zones during their day with us.
Natural Materials
Safe & Secure
Our group areas and individual runs are all designed with safety in mind. Secure fences, walls and safety gates keep groups apart and ensure nothing gets in or out. Trained handlers are present at all times, ensuring play is friendly and any health issues are immediately seen and attended to. A strict set of safety procedures has been developed to ensure the wellbeing of our entire human and canine crew, including daily cleaning to veterinary standard.
